My favourite haunt in KL

Was in Kl last week for a few days.
KL for obvious business reasons is a place that i spent as much time as in Kuching.
Like most people will tell you, a business trip to a city is far different from a holiday.
Time will be mostly spent in meetings, staying in cold hotel rooms and flagging for taxis whose drivers are mostly inadvertently rude.
Kl is no different, honestly i cant find any unique character that i can associate KL with, it is just another bulging place whose pursuit of consumerism is no different from another city.
The shopping malls will display same old stuff, it will also have its own measure of market places Ala Asia..Petaling street to name one.
Now one can also see a mushrooming of massage places particularly those that offer foot reflexology.
Some part of the city is now turned into Arab "sanctuary" just like a street in Bangkok. Why really bother to come to another place for holiday and just spend your time idling at Arab joints .
I just don't understand the logic.
The worst picture of KL to me are its rude taxi drivers who most times just refuse to put on the meter and tried to charge you ridiculous fares!!!
Ha ..hold on i somehow manage to find my own little sanctuary in KL, away from the respites and chaos.
Whenever i have spare time i will trudge to a Starbucks joint right in the Borders bookstore at Berjaya Times square.
A great place to unwind, as you sipped your coffee quietly surrounded by all those books and if time allowed you can finish reading one as well.
