Band idol...Teenagers style

What was i up to last night, a Saturday night?
Well, we all went to attend a Band Idol competition at St Joseph Secondary School.
My twin, Sabrina was competing with her group of Classmates Teresians and they called themselves the "3A1"..hm mm how original.
First thing first..i don't expect great melodies or inspiring performances from any of the participants.

Music somehow is a thing in my family. The twins both played in their respective school bands.
Faizul, playing the Saxophone for his St Joseph School even at competitions in KL.
Sabrina, playing the Clarinet for her School Band as well.
They possibly followed the elder sister Diyana interest being earlier in the Band and playing the piano.

In fact i was fortunate also to attend few months back the Petronas Youth Philharmonic Orchestra when they came over to Kuching.
Great performance and inspiring to say the least particularly on their rendition of Tchaikovsky Score.

Well i cant compare last night performances by the well meaning students on such similar scale but 100% for efforts.
Sabrina's ensemble won the third spot.

As i saw the mingling crowd of young students last night i found myself smiling at their antics.
For the years may have rolled on but the habits of young Josephian students has not changed.
They organised social functions like the one last night more for a nobler objective that is ...to meet up, opportunity to mingle and dating possibly as well with the " species"(the Teresians) across the road!!!
