Oops, i did not wake up at 2 am as earlier planned to watch the much awaited champions league final.
I had set my alarm but somehow this ageing body just couldn't bring itself out of a deep slumber.
Then pronto i suddenly woke up as if on cue just past 4 am ,and immediately switched on the telly.
Fergie's glum face told it all!!! i knew then that a defeat awaits Manchester United in this final.
Watching for awhile all the slick short passing of the Barca players(looks so diminutive!!) i switched off the telly and went back to my own dreams.
I haven't watched the repeat game yet but from what i read it was indeed a Messi night as United was Mes(si)merised!!
Even Ferguson acknowledged that the better team won.
Congratulations to the Catalans and honestly i didn't feel upset or in the dumps over the defeat because always admired Barcelona style of football ,well the messy night for United fans seemed already written in the stars..as always you can never put down a genius in whatever field, congrats Lionel Messi for a great display will definitely watch the repeat.
